Brave Art, Constable 250

Working with Suffolk Artlink and the Brave Artists on a special project to celebrate the 2026 anniversary year, which marks 250 years since the birth of iconic Suffolk-born artist John Constable (1776-1837), Constable’s Legacy will be honoured through a yearlong programme of exhibitions at Ipswich Borough Council’s Christchurch Mansion which inspire community events and learning programmes. These varied community collaborations will explore Constable’s art and impact sparking connections between art and the natural world for audiences across the county.
We will be exploring the work of John Constable, an artist who featured the landscapes and people of Suffolk in many of his paintings. This is part of Constable’s 250th anniversary led by Colchester and Ipswich Museums. Finished work will form part of an exhibition at Christchurch Mansion in the autumn 2026.
